There have been some great casino movies and there have been some really great performances from some lovely ladies in these high thrill and stylized movies. Here’s a list of the top 10 most memorable female characters from those cool casino movies…

10. “Betsy” – Honeymoon in Vegas
Today’s ever so famous Carrie Bradshaw from Sex in the city, Sarah Jessica Parker was spot on with her comedy and was a real treat to look at too. Starring opposite Nicholas Cage, the newlyweds make this Vegas movie a great laugh.

9. Virginia Hill – Bugsy
Annette Bening plays Virginia Hill, wife of the notorious “Bugsy” Siegel played by Warren Beatty. Virginia Hill plays the gorgeous Hollywood starlet who is put in charge of the books of the new Flamingo Hotel & Casino. The two had great chemistry in the movie. The two actors had some great chemistry in this movie about power and passion.

8. Clementin – Hard Eight
In this classic gambling movie Gwyneth Paltrow plays Clemetin, a cocktail waitress who later reveals that she’s a prostitute. The movie revolves around the characters played by John C. Reilly, Philip Baker Hall, and Samuel L. Jackson. The movie is really enjoyable and the stellar cast does great justice to the characters.

7. Sarah Packard- The Hustler
This character got actress Piper Laurie nominated for the Best Actress in a Leading Role in 1961. In the film, Packard is Eddie Felson’s girlfriend. She is the strength of the struggling young man, who is a small time pool hustle, and tries her best to help him with his problems, but her advice is ignored in the end.

6. Isla Lund – Casablanca
Casablanca is one of the most popular movies of all time and one of the finest gambling movies too. Ingrid Berman was nominated for Best Actress for her performance as Lund. Lund falls in love with Rick Blaine, an American café owner, played by Humphrey Bogart. There are some classic lines delivered in this movie are so memorable.

5. Lorraine – Swingers
Another gambling movie of comic proportions, Heather Graham plays the lovely and ever so blonde Lorraine who is trying ever so hard to get Mike peters to forget about his ex-girlfriend.

4. Natalie Belisario -”The Cooler”
You’ll probably remember the leading lady from Coyote Ugly. Actress Maria Bello delivers an amazing performance as Natalie Belisario, a spunky and tough cocktail waitress. This comedy includes stars like Alec Baldwin playing Shelly Kaplow, the casino boss (his performance got him nominated for an Oscar by the way) and William H. Macy who plays Bernie Lootz.

3. Sera – Leaving Las Vegas
The movie won an Oscar in 1996 and was nominated for three other awards. The movie features Elizabeth Shue and Nicholas Cage who both deliver compelling performances. Shue plays Sera, a prostitute who meets Cage who plays Ben and is a raging alcoholic. The story revolves around how their paths cross in the background of the shiny Vegas Strip.

Eva Green is absolutely stunning as the vivacious Vesper Lynd who is a double agent in this James Bond casino movie thriller.

1. Ginger McKenna -”Casino”
If there is one great casino movie, its Casino and if there is an actress who should be remembered for her performance, it’s the fabulous Sharon Stone playing the gorgeous Ginger McKenna. Number one on our list, the self indulgent character always stylish and polished was one worth remembering. Stone won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and was nominated for the Academy Award.
